SHANGHAI – THE HOME OF C-STAR AND SHOPPERS’ PARADISE
2018-11-21
When it comes to investments, innovations and inspiration, C-star in Shanghai is now the most important annual event for Chinese and Asian retailers. It has been held annually since 2015. There are two reasons why Shanghai is so ideal for C-star: firstly, it is the biggest, most modern and most affluent city in China, and secondly, as a global hub, it is also a first-class location for shopping enthusiasts.
With a broad spectrum of luxury brands, national chain stores and curiosity shops, everyone will find the kind of business to meet their expectations in terms of price and quality
The biggest attraction is Nanjing Road, one of the longest shopping miles in the world. It has a fascinating range of highly diverse shopping opportunities as well as restaurants and countless colourful displays which light up the streets at night. But shopping malls and night markets have also been increasing in popularity.
Renée Zhao, who has been running the C-star Press and Marketing Department for Messe Düsseldorf Shanghai since 2016, has been talking to us about the shopping habits in Shanghai.

A perfect shopping day for me is finding a fancy shopping mall such as IAPM or IFC center in Shanghai which integrates fashion brand, shoes store, book store, café shop etc.
